Water Quality & Treatment

The Utility operates as an enterprise fund, meaning it is not supported with tax dollars but rather totally funded through water, sewer and reuse service revenues and utility capacity fees.

Water Quality

The Water Quality Division is charged with activities related to maintaining safe drinking water throughout the distribution system.  This includes general supervision over maintaining proper disinfection residuals, conducting compliance sampling, responding to customer complaints, and maintaining an enforcement program which meet the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act with respect to water quality and information gathering.  The division has been assigned the responsibility of maintain fire hydrants throughout the system including special assessment districts and new developments.

Water Operations Division

The City operates the Palm Coast water system which includes three (3) water treatment plants (WTP).  The water treatment plants are interconnected and supply water to the distribution system located within the water system service area.
