Mayor David Alfin is once again partnering with mayors across the country to urge residents to pledge to reduce pollution and conserve water resources more efficiently during the Wyland National Mayor's Challenge. To participate, residents can visit www.mywaterpledge.com from April 1 to 30, 2023.

Last year, Palm Coast's residents participated and won first place in the challenge. Mayor Alfin hopes they will do so again this year, demonstrating to their neighbors near and far their commitment to protecting their most precious natural resource, water, while planning and building a sustainable future for Palm Coast.

The Wyland National Mayor's Challenge is an annual non-profit community service campaign encouraging leaders to inspire their residents to make simple pledges to use water more efficiently, reduce pollution, and save energy. Participants can win over $50,000 in eco-friendly prizes, including $3,000 toward their Home Utility Payments, water-saving fixtures, and hundreds of other awards.

The Wyland Foundation, founded in 1993, presents the National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation. It is a 501c3 non-profit organization that promotes, protects, and preserves the world's oceans, waterways, and marine life. The foundation encourages environmental awareness through community events, education programs, and public art projects.
