The City of Bunnell, Flagler County, City of Palm Coast, City of Flagler Beach, Town of Marineland, and Town of Beverly Beach are proud to announce the highly-anticipated Veterans Day Parade, which will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM. This patriotic extravaganza will bring together communities from all municipalities across Flagler to honor our brave veterans and express our heartfelt gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

The Grand Marshal for the parade is U.S. Congressman Michael Waltz. Representing Florida’s 6th congressional district, which encompasses all of Flagler County, Congressman Waltz represents North Central Florida, is a Colonel (Ret.) in the National Guard and a combat-decorated Green Beret (four Bronze Stars – two for Valor) serving worldwide as a Special Forces officer with multiple tours in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Africa. He is a former White House and Pentagon policy advisor, a small business owner, an author, and a proud father, and the first Green Beret to be elected to Congress.

With a route spanning less than a mile, the parade promises to be an enjoyable experience for participants and spectators alike. Starting at Bunnell Coquina City Hall and proceeding east on East Moody Blvd (State Road 100), the parade concludes at the Flagler County Government Services Building.  The parade route will be filled with lively floats, marching bands, and community organizations celebrating our veterans.

This year's event is especially dedicated to encouraging veterans to participate in the parade. We invite all veterans, from every branch of the military, to join us in this commemoration of their service. It's an opportunity for veterans to connect with their community and share their stories with a grateful audience.

For those seeking more information about the Veterans Day Parade, including details on participation and registration, please visit the official event website at flaglerveteransdayparade.com. The website will provide updates on the parade route, parking, and other essential information for attendees. We welcome parade floats, walkers, and riders to participate in the parade. We are also accepting sponsorship donations to help get this event off the ground and help cover some of the basic startup costs associated with advertising and other logistics of operating a parade.

The parade is only the beginning of the day's festivities. Following the parade, Flagler County Government will host the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the Government Services Building. The ceremony will pay tribute to our veterans, with speeches, music, and a solemn wreath-laying ceremony to honor those who have given so much to protect our freedom. Following the ceremony, lunch will be provided to our Veterans.

Bunnell Chief of Police, David Brannon, expresses his deep gratitude for the veterans of our community and beyond, saying, "Veterans Day is an opportunity for all of us to come together in a show of respect and appreciation for the brave men and women who served our country. We are honored to host this parade and ceremony, and we invite everyone to join in this meaningful celebration.”

Please mark your calendars and save the date for the Veterans Day Parade in the City of Bunnell on November 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Let us unite as a community to honor our veterans and celebrate their incredible contributions to our nation.
