CANCELLED: Starlight Parade

The City of Palm Coast regretfully announces the cancellation of the much-anticipated Starlight Parade scheduled for Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 6 p.m. at Central Park in Town Center. This difficult decision has been made in collaboration with our public safety and emergency management partners considering the anticipated severe weather conditions that pose a risk to the safety of both participants and spectators.

The safety of the community is always the top priority. Given the forecasted severe weather conditions, it is believed to be in the best interest of everyone involved to cancel the Starlight Parade.

While understanding the disappointment this may bring, rescheduling the event during the upcoming week is unfortunately not feasible. Flagler Schools are still in session through Friday, and with next weekend leading into Christmas Eve, scheduling an alternative date that accommodates everyone involved poses significant challenges.

The City extends heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, volunteers, community partners, and city staff who dedicated their time, creativity, and enthusiasm to preparing for this year's Starlight Parade. Their commitment to the community is truly appreciated.

In the spirit of the season, make plans to visit the Rotary Club of Flagler County’s 18th Annual Fantasy Lights Festival at Central Park in Town Center. Come celebrate the holiday season each night from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. through December 30, 2023, with 55 lighted displays around the lake with holiday music to enjoy.

While the Starlight Parade will not take place this year, the City of Palm Coast remains committed to fostering community spirit and celebrating together. Please plan to attend next year’s Starlight Parade, which promises to be even more spectacular.
