Utility Systems Technician Lead
Department : Utility - Wastewater

Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform a wide range of complex labor-intensive work in the installation, maintenance and repair of City water and sewer systems, and associated utility lift stations and facilities. Employees in this classification function at senior level, and are accountable for operating, maintaining, and performing repairs on utility vehicles and equipment. Position is distinguished from that of the Utility Systems Technician, by the level of independence the employee functions as a result of the advanced laboring knowledge acquired through training and work experience. Objective is to maintain utility systems and facilitate safe and efficient transporting of water/wastewater throughout the city.

High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by four (4) years responsible experience in public utilities systems, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to operate heavy equipment and tools of the trade; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License. Class "A" Commercial Driver's License preferred (must obtain within 24 months of hire). 
FWPCOA Class A certification in Wastewater collection preferred (must obtain within 24 months of hire).
