The City of Palm Coast has welcomed its first-ever Chief Sustainability and Resiliency Officer, Maeven Rogers. In her new role, Rogers will be responsible for developing and implementing the city's first Sustainability and Resiliency Plan. The plan will identify key challenges facing the city and outline a roadmap for achieving long-term goals.

During the City of Palm Coast City Council Business Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, City Council recognized three proclamations of significance to the community.

Palm Coast Fire Department Driver Engineer Chris Strozier was awarded the 2023 Fire Service Commendation and Medal by the Flagler Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution this past Friday, February 17, at Palm Coast Fire Station #21. 

The City of Palm Coast Stormwater and Engineering Department is making headway on a project that will see to the trenchless rehabilitation of Stormwater culvert pipes beneath a ¾ mile stretch of the southbound lane of Belle Terre Pkwy, from Belle Terre Elementary to the Palm Coast Sports Complex.

The City of Palm Coast unveiled its latest addition of renovation improvements with the administration building located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant #1 facility grounds on Friday, February 17, 2023.

The Stormwater Department will be installing a road patch located along  Baron Way. This road closure notice is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 21 from 7:30 a.m. through Wednesday, February 22 concluding at 3:30 p.m.

Construction enhancements at Waterfront Park will require a temporary 3-day closure of the shell path from March 6 to March 8. The shell path will be closed at the trail entrance on Waterfront Road and at the bridge that leads to Children’s Memorial Garden. During this time, there will be no alternate route to reach the trail.

Council Member Moorman passed away on February 7, 2023, leaving behind a legacy as one of the finest men to represent the City of Palm Coast. He served the Palm Coast City Council from 2007-2011, representing District #1. 

Palm Coast Open: A USTA Pro Circuit Event Surpasses Expectations through Community Support and Partnerships

The Parks & Recreation Department has hosted this professional tournament with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and International Tennis Federation (ITF) for a total of twelve years.

The City of Palm Coast and Flagler County are seeking public input on the community’s needs to develop a Parks and Recreation Master Plan on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Palm Coast Community Center. 

The City of Palm Coast is implementing a software upgrade on Friday, February 17, which will require the Financial Services Department, Business Tax, and Human Resources to be unable to process in-person transactions during the workday. All online services will remain operational throughout the upgrade.

The City of Palm Coast is set to break ground on its new Southern Recreation Facility and Lehigh Trailhead this coming Sunday, February 12 at 9am at 1290 Belle Terre Parkway. 

City of Palm Coast Council Members Cathy Heighter and Theresa Carli Pontieri recently graduated from the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials, a course from the Florida League of Cities Institute for Elected Municipal Officials (IEMO), a premier educational program designed specifically for Florida’s elected municipal officials.

On Saturday, Jan 28th the City of Palm Coast hosted its fourth Keep Palm Coast Clean – Love Where You Live community litter pickup event.

Volunteers gathered at the Public Works Department early Saturday morning where they received trash bags, gloves, water, and briefing instructions before heading out to collect trash from various roadways and parks throughout Palm Coast.

The City of Palm Coast Utility Department will conduct a sewer main repair in front of 10 Blaine Tree Place on January 30, 2023. This will require a road closure at the location of the repair, which will be impassable.
