With installation of the new traffic signal installed along Seminole Woods Parkway at both Ulaturn Drive to the east and Airport Commerce Way to west, now complete, operations are set to begin next Monday, July 27.

This is the first traffic signal to be installed at this intersection, and so traffic engineers are planning to first run a flashing red signal for the first week in operation, before enabling the standard traffic signal patterns to begin operating at the intersection on Monday, August 3.

“Motorists were previously able to travel freely along this portion of Seminole Woods Parkway, with stop signs at the east and west intersections, so we wanted to ease motorists into this new process, which will help with traffic flow and overall safety in the area,” said Project Manager Tyler Gibson.

This traffic signal is part of other recent construction in the area, including the completion of Fire Station 26 on Airport Commerce Way – Palm Coast’s newest firehouse which will serve the Seminole Woods neighborhood on the south end of the city.
