The City of Palm Coast is proud to announce that the Southern Recreation Center (SRC) will host the High School District Tennis Tournament on April 14 and 15, bringing together top student-athletes from across the region for two days of exciting competition. The event is free and open to the public, and residents are encouraged to come out and support these talented players.

Seven schools will be represented in the tournament, including Bartram Trail, Beachside, Clay, Matanzas, Nease, Ponte Vedra, and St. Augustine, showcasing some of the strongest tennis programs in the district. Teams will compete in a full match format that includes five singles matches and two doubles matches, creating a fast-paced and competitive atmosphere across both days.

The stakes extend beyond district competition, as the top two teams will advance to regional play, with regional winners earning a spot in the state tournament. Individual performance also plays a key role, with the number one seeded winners in both singles and doubles securing automatic qualification to the state tournament regardless of overall team results.

“This is exactly the kind of event we love bringing to Palm Coast,” said James Hirst, Director of Parks and Recreation. “It gives our residents a chance to experience high-level competition right here at home while highlighting the hard work, discipline, and sportsmanship of these student-athletes. We invite the community to come out, enjoy the matches, and be part of the energy these teams bring to the courts.”

Hosting the District Tennis Tournament reflects the City’s continued commitment to supporting youth athletics and creating opportunities for the community to connect through sports. With postseason implications on the line and some of the area’s top talent competing, the Southern Recreation Center will be a hub of energy, focus, and school pride.

Residents are encouraged to stop by, take in the matches, and cheer on the athletes as they compete for a chance to advance to the next level.
