The City of Palm Coast is continuing to expand its Little Free Library program with the installation of a new book-sharing station at Ralph Carter Park, made possible through a new partnership with Flagler Schools.

This installation marks the first collaboration between the City and Flagler Schools as part of the Little Free Library initiative. Kristin Frank, Elementary English Language Arts Specialist with Flagler Schools, played an important role in helping bring the project forward and will assist in keeping the library stocked as part of the ongoing book exchange.

Previously installed Little Free Libraries are located at the Palm Coast Community Center, Central Park near City Hall, and the Southern Recreation Center. Together, these locations help expand access to books across the community and support the City’s ongoing commitment to literacy and neighborhood engagement.

The City’s Parks & Trails team installed the Little Free Library on April 17. A small opening and reveal is planned for Thursday, April 23, at 4:15 p.m. at Ralph Carter Park. Residents are invited to attend and help celebrate the continued growth of this community resource.

Little Free Libraries provide residents with a simple way to take a book, leave a book, and share the joy of reading with others. The addition at Ralph Carter Park reflects Palm Coast’s continued investment in accessible learning opportunities through strong community partnerships.

Residents are encouraged to visit the new Little Free Library, participate in the book exchange, and help keep the spirit of reading growing throughout Palm Coast.
