John Fanelli Appointed to Vacant City Council Seat

On March 22, 2022, Palm Coast City Council appointed John M. Fanelli III to the vacant City Council seat for District 2.

The seat was vacated by Victor Barbosa upon his resignation on March 1, 2022. Fanelli’s appointment is temporary — he will vacate the seat after the November election.

Fanelli is currently the Coordinator of Student Supports and Behavior for Flagler County Public Schools. He was previously the Principal of Buddy Taylor Middle School and Wadsworth Elementary School locally. City Council members stressed the importance of Fanelli’s experience and familiarity with the Flagler County School District and his devotion to youth education in their reasoning for selecting him.
