Tuesday June, 21 2022

Florida Park Drive will be closed to through-traffic for the duration of the Utility project, which is expected to last approximately four months.

Florida Park Drive will have construction activities for utility improvements at the intersection of Farraday Lane (south end of loop). Florida Park Drive will be closed to through-traffic for the duration of the Utility project, which is expected to last approximately four months.

  • Beginning June 28th, 2022, Florida Park Drive will be closed at the intersection of Farraday Lane (south end of the loop) due to the construction of a City of Palm Coast Utility project. Construction crews are reconstructing a section of sanitary sewer and constructing a new lift station to replace an older station at the end of its useful life.
  • The lift station will be moved from the center of Florida Park Drive to Farraday Lane for wastewater crew safety and to eliminate obstruction to flow of traffic on Florida Park Drive when crews are performing routine maintenance.
  • Maintenance of traffic will be provided, including barricades and signage on Florida Park Drive so no vehicle traffic will be able to cross the intersection. Detour signs will be placed to assist traffic.
  • Crews will also be lining the sanitary sewer lines of Florida Park from Farraday Lane to Fawn Lane.

Access through the intersection will not be available to the general public for the duration of the construction. A detour will be in place during this time beginning at the intersection of Palm Coast Parkway and Old Kings Road North. Another detour will be placed along Frontier Drive.

James F. Memorial Park Holland Park is accessible by utilizing Farragut Drive, Fleetwood Drive, or Palm Harbor Parkway.

The City of Palm Coast will be working diligently to make repairs and get the roadway back open as safely and quickly as possible. The City of Palm Coast appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and motorists during these important road projects.
